1. He realized that his success at Marquette was likely not sustainable.
2. He realized that at some point he wouldn't meet expectations.
3. He got an incredibly one-sided contract (in Buzz's favor) contract from VT.
4. He estimated that he would have leeway at VT to turn things around and build his brand.
5. If it didn't work out and he was fired, he would be a rich man and still have another shot elsewhere.
6. He has come to the conclusion that his success at VT is likely not sustainable.
7. He has come to the conclusion that at some point he wouldn't meet expectations.
8. He is likely to get an incredibly one-sided offer (in Buzz's favor) from TAM.
9. He has estimated that TAM will give him some leeway to get them back.
10. If it doesn't work out and he is fired, he will be a very rich man and still have another shot elsewhere.
11. Everything at Marquette and VT and possibly TAM all thought out and analyzed to a T.
