I just don’t get the Young and Odom talk. So many are saying they would much rather have Odom than some of these other coaches. I personally don’t want either of them. Odom has 3-4 years at a much lower conference where he has done well. He coached for Seth Greenberg who was fired. Not saying he is not a great coach but a jump from that conference to the ACC?? Then on Young some of the same he has coached in a much lower league and to top it off has less than .60 winning %? Both are the types of hires that have a major potential downside since they aren’t proven in bigger conferences. There is no evidence either turned the job down either just that we have talked. If anybody hasn’t noticed the media isn’t very credible these days.
