Well, they're right. The reaction of many here has been childish and stupid
We were warned right from the get-go that Buzz would likely be a short-timer in Blacksburg and that he ultimately wanted to get back home to Texas when the right opportunity became available.
He hasn't said or done anything that any other coach hasn't done when leaving one program for another. He gave us some of the best teams that VT has ever put on the court and took us to three NCAAs and an NIT in five years after inheriting a program that was nothing less than a train wreck. Furthermore, he didn't cheat to do it and his guys graduated at a high rate.
We should thank him for his efforts, wish him well at A&M, and move on.
