I can just say personally, in the last month of a lot of ups and downs following this program as closely as I do, from losing Buzz to losing players to hiring a great man but someone not everybody wanted, her videos have constantly reminded me of everything that's right about how the connection should be between Hokie Nation and these teams we pull for.

I feel compelled to say, as an avid supporter and follower of VPI: because of the coaching change I don't ever want to hear that she or your family get lost in the shuffle by the folks in the MBB program somehow. I remember hearing or reading Whit say they wouldn't just abandon the notion of what Buzz's bunch did, but it's beyond that.

Joey, if Dani Jo continues to love these guys like she does but something happens where it's not as reciprocal, don't hesitate to post or contact folks here b/c I think it's fair to say people with connections large and small would work to make sure that doesn't happen.

Mike Young is a good man. I don't know him personally but I grew up with his brother and knew his Dad. I believe Tom Gabbard, who administratively is very involved with VTMBB, and Whit are good men. Mike Burnop is one of the best people athletics or otherwise on that campus. Jon Laaser strikes me the same as well. If they don't know about you guys, they should. Obviously you stay in touch with current and past players. Don't hesitate to call on us if anything changes. You'd have a whole bunch more folks go to bat for you after your story here and the glimpse we're lucky to get into this part of her life and your family's. Thank you so much!
