Best Vertical Jump # at Duke vs Best Vertical Jump # at VT

Reading about KJ's vertical leap test numbers below, I remembered that Zion had broken the all-time Duke vertical jump # when he was tested. Lots of videos online showing how he was out jumping the vertical test pole and how they had to put weights under it to raise it up even higher.

45 inches.

That's insane, especially for a man his weight (280 lbs). He's also 6'7" so he can REALLY get the ball up in the air.

Then there's a May 8th tweet by @JamieShaw5, that was retweeted by Jalen Cone, showing the results of a "North Carolina High School Top 80 Combine Testing":

1. ‘19 Jalen Cone - 47”
2. ‘20 Jajuan Carr - 44”
3. ‘20 Shakeel Moore - 42”

I believe Shakeel is another VT recruiting target, as well.

Jalen is only 5'10" and doesn't weigh anywhere close to what Zion weighs, obviously, but that is STILL some serious hops.

I'd love to know Deron Washington's max vertical in his hey day. Maybe Jalen would set the VT max vert record, if VT kept such stats. Deron's NBA vertical test number when he was entering the draft was 40" - according to a post here:
https://www.thekeyplay.com/content/2017/april/12/ahmed-hill-has-ups
...and Ahmed at 46.25 inches!

Damn!

And I guess Zion didn't jump this year but here are the numbers of the max vertical jumps from NBA draft hopefuls:
Max Vertical Leap

Jalen Lecque 43.00
Jordan Bone 42.50
Jaylen Hands 41.50
Jared Harper 40.50
Brandon Clarke 40.50
