That's still pretty concerning as you have 3 average to below average shooters, and two unproven freshmen who would be taking up the bulk of the minutes

I understand Jalen Cone is going to be a good player and should have a very good career at VT. But a freshman is a freshman, and it takes time to play at a high level.

The highest draft pick in the history of the program just left after his sophomore year and even he didnt have a great freshman campaign, despite playing with much better talent around him.

Is it good Bede came back? Yes, certainly. Its another body who has played in high level games in the ACC. But VT is still 2 post players, a combo forward, 2 wings and another guard from fielding a competitive ACC team. Thise roster needs will not be met this off-season and, quite frankly, might not be met until 2021.

Be patient. Let the roster turn over and put a system in place.
