Yeah, you can find problems just about anywhere. But what takes it to another level for the likes of Penn State, Baylor, Michigan State, etc., is everyone looking the other way for years lest their precious sports suffer. Furthermore, blame is shared even among the average nobody for helping to inculcate a culture in which football is sacrosanct, which is a direct breeding environment for abuses of power like that (see also, Indiana under Knight).
