Wishful thinking I guess. He just didn't look ready. He played tentatively
at times especially when Jrob went down. It was a perfect time for him to step up and show what a leader he could be but his play during Jrob's absence didn't rise to the level the team needed. On the other hand, Blackshear really stepped up and put the team on his back.
I don't think the issue is with NAW's talent. I think he's got NBA talent. I just don't think he's got the confidence yet to play with the big boys. He seemed unable to create his own shot when we needed a basket as if he didn't trust his stuff. I think another year would've helped his head.
