Babers and Mendenhall appear to have their programs on the right path...

I'm not sure Babers will sustain that momentum. Mendenhall has taken bottom quartile ACC talent and gotten second quartile results. I actually went back and forth on Fuente/Mendenhall

As for 2016, yes Beamed recruited 98% of the players. He didn't recruit Evans who was the wildcard. Fuente also reshaped the mentality of the team and gave an extremely stale program a jolt.

I admit, I'm bullish on Fuente. I think most will be feeling better about him in 7 months after an 8-4 or 9-3 type season. I watched the 2017 WVU game the other night. The defense was chock full of guys who should have been playing in 2018. We basically entered the season with our second string and were playing largely our third string by season's end. Alexander, Edmunds, the other Edmunds, Settle, Reynolds just to name some of the standouts... These were all guys we expected to still be donning orange and maroon. None were by the kickoff of 2018.
