I made a comment about interest in football declining that I think was generally misunderstood.

I was actually referring to football as a sport in general, not VT in particular. I feel like we have hit and passed the peak. Youth football in our area has undergone a sharp decline over the past 10 years. Our high school no longer fields a 9th grade team and a JV. I see fewer kids playing and wonder about the future of the sport.

I think that awareness and education on head injuries is a common reason.
