Folks, we have the perfect schedule, allow me to show you why.

Game 1 Boston College
We need the first game to be challenging, to motivate the kids through their summer training, create an intensity in practice, and allow the coaches to light a fire of focus under the players arses. Check.
Game 2 ODU, Game 3 FUR
Ok, now we get healthy from a physical game, and we get two scrimmages to work out the problems, build depth, and prepate our kids before our next ACC assignment. Check, Check.
Game 4 Duke
Now we need a decent opponent that we can beat reasonably easily to test our adjustments, further polish the players as they settle into their positions for the majority of the season. We don't want this to be a very physical game, just a winnable but challening game. Check
Game 5 Miami
We are now a polished and proven team that knows how to win. We are close to full strength, and are focused and ready for a challange. Meanwhile, Miami has forgotten about whatever happened with Florida, and just finished feasting on Bethune Wildcats and Chippewas, ripe for an upset. VT needs a Marquee win to setup the Battle with NotreDame. Check.
Game 6 URI / Game 7 UNC
Now VT is ranked in top 25, and needs a creampuff to rebuild health from Physical win against Miami, followed by a step up on competition with ACC foe UNC, we need a weak but more challenging team.
Game 8 ND
Now we have our season defining moment. With VT 7-0, 100% defined and full power, we find out if Fuente and Bud combination can take VT all the way this season. An extra week will allow coaches to tune hokies in to how to stopping ND. VT should now be a strong team, with a couple physical tests under their belt, but not beaten down due to array of creampuff wins.
And ND will be coming fresh off a Michigan game, with no break..Oh my, hope they are ready. (By the way, I called the Horseshoe win on this board a week early, due to Ohio state having to play a very physical and talented Navy team leading our game with no break. Remember Will? wink wink)
Okay, so now VT is 8-0, Ranked probably around 10th.
What we need is 4 games that get progressively more challenging and meaningful to end the season.
9 Wake 10 GT 11 PITT 12 UVA
Perfect, we end the season 12-0, and ranked outside the top 5, probably 7th or 8th.
With a win in the ACC championship.we are in the dance!

Now was someone complaining about our schedule?

Looks pretty damn good to me!!
