Any info on how unbalanced sizes of recruiting classes affect overall team


Performance? Below, posters are discussing 2021 as being a big class.

I don’t think holding scholarships for a year makes sense because then the current year might have as many options but does this cause an accordion effect on the overall strength of the team?

When VT loses a lot of upperclassmen during 1 season, it affects that current period, but it also seems to have a future year effect as well, in a negative way. When a group of players all decide to leave at the same time bc they see it more profitable to them, do they cause more future damage in addition to the current situation they are leaving?
