We've had one of the worst 12 months in college football
Bad things that happened since July of 2018
- Historically bad season resulting in a disappointing bowl loss
- Biggest upset of the year losing to ODU
- Pitt and GT averaged like 10 yards a play and didnt throw a pass
- Defense was the worst in school history, certainly in Bud's history
- First losing record in over 2 decades
- Numerous players kicked off the team last summer
- Numerous players transferring in the middle of the year
- Numerous players transferring after the season
- Took a PR black eye with the ECU situation then booked an FCS replacement this year
- Foster's contract situation is up in the air
- Heading towards the worst recruiting class in 2 decades
- Not a single player drafted for the first time in 26 years
- Brian Mitchell is still on the coaching staff
- Former players and alumni take shots at us regularly on social media
- Weakest schedule in the Power 5 conferences
- Season ticket sales will tank given our best home game is a UNC team that won 2 games last year
Good things that happened
- The basketball program
- Flipped Josh Nestor
- Signed a respectable class last year despite our horrific season
- We seem to have some young guys stepping up as leaders
- Most of the cancers have left the team
