Clemson or Notre Dame? If that were to happen, then people could make the claim that DI-FBS college football is returning to the BCA Era where the Big Ten, Pac-10, and the Rose Bowl did its own thing and everyone else competed for the BCA National Championship. Heck it might even turn into the AFL vs. NFL Era which could be interesting to see play out.

AFL = Big Ten and Pac-12
NFL = ACC and SEC

Depending on what happens with the Big XII, they could end up being a real wild card and maybe even involved with both Playoffs (AFL and NFL). If the Big XII ends up only be involved with 1 Playoff, then could that create a seat in the other Playoff for the AAC or MWC?
