Predictable outcomes includes "making things happen"
and taking shots. Predictable outcomes don't mean dump downs to the RB. A slant is a pass that Fuente will have in the play-calling sheet. Those are risky. They make things happen. They are taking shots. Fuente wants the QB to be able to run things, to take the ball where it should go. if that means a downfield pass to Turner or Grimsley, then that is what is called. This can't be a seen or portrayed as a dichotomy between being safe and taking risks/shots. Fuente wants a QB to be able read the defense, know where the ball should go and avoid an INT, avoid a stupid/bad play with a low percentage of success
