I disagree that the ACC had princes when FSU joined the conference

Between 1992-2000, FSU was either ACC champion or ACC co-champion (x2). Maryland was champion in 2001 and then FSU returned to its throne in 2002 and 2003. That stretch of ACC history is the reason the conference was known as "FSU and the 8 dwarfs." Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ohio State can't make the same claim regardless of what happened in the post season.
