I would expect they aren’t ready this year.

Too many holes on the roster. OL is inexperienced and still pretty unsettled. QB is untested. Not quite as good at RB. Depth concerns on D.

But Diaz is the real deal. Much better than the mail-it-in version of Richt they had. And he’s not going anywhere, that’s a destination job for him.

They won’t beat UF, probably lose by two TDS, but Miami will get better thru the year. Probably an 8-4 team.
