If you have not experienced the insults about the hillbilly school, you have never lived anywhere else, and therefore you've been sheltered. The rest of the country hasn't had the same experience you've had, and as a result, many considered VT as a hillbilly school, second to uva, and even a little sister to wvu. I spent decades informing them about VT. Get out of Roanoke now and then and maybe you'll see things differently.
