Last year did a lot to reset things for me as a fan and I'm excited to see this first real look at the next generation of VT football. It's actually kind of fun having so much uncertainty after last season and no expectations. And one last ride with Bud Foster to see his lunch pail defense in action just adds extra intrigue.

My excitement is not so much on a national stage, just a pure enjoyment of VT football level. The only other seasons like this for me were 2004 (first in ACC) and 99-00 (the peak years).
