The biggest annoyance of beer sales in a college stadium is that most stadiums aren't built to accommodate the steady parade of people going to the concession stands and the bathrooms. Lane Stadium is one of the worst stadiums to get in and out of the seats because foot room is so limited.

The notion that selling beer in the stadium somehow improves fan behavior is a myth. It just causes more people to have a buzz and makes it more difficult to spot the people who are the worst offenders.

I am not a prohibitionist or anything. But there are practical considerations to beer sales that you would never consider or appreciate unless you've attended plenty of games in a college stadium where beer is sold.
