I think down deep he knows that Corny and other long-time assistants are


letting him down and he can't stand the thought of firing or reassigning them. These are friends of his. I was struck by his saying that he did not know that Keene was off the field with an injury when he called another play. Isn't that the OC's job to know that and tell the HC?
