Refute what? Injuries are part of the game? What is there to refute?

It’s pretty simple. I think Lawrence is a better QB than Willis. Using basic stats through 3 games against uneven competition doesn’t prove anything to me.
That doesn’t mean Willis is a bad QB, but he has to play better. I’m not in the excuse making business. He has to play better because we haven’t played anybody worth a damn so far. I expected him to play a lot better considering the competition we have faced but so far he has been underwhelming IMHO. It doesn’t matter how many yards you throw for if you don’t put up a bunch of points to go with it. Willis needs to play better, or we will struggle to have a winning record. Can the offensive line play better as well? Absolutely.

Also, wide receiver is supposed to be our deepest position so I don’t really buy the whole, “what if” scenarios. I can play the “what if” game for the entire history of college football but playing the “what-if” game is irrelevant when it comes to the results that have already been put on the table. Clearly Hooker and QP are not ready to start so Willis is our guy, and I’m cool with that. I was high on him going into the season. Hopefully he turns it up a notch and makes better decisions going forward.
