Here is my thought about being a fan in general........

Being a fan has changed a lot since moving to Los Angeles for me. Some of you may have heard Colin Cowherd explain the difference between big city and small city fans. In general, he says that in Los Angeles, if your team is not good, you just go do something else because there are ten million other things to do. If you are a fan of Green Bay, you still still show up because, well, what else is there to do? I have found that there are so many other things I could occupy my time with here in LA that I can't for the life of me imagine sitting in a dark bar watching us battle it out with Furman week in and week out. Yes, if we were really good and were playing a big game, you bet I would be there; however, until that happens, I will likely spend my time on top of a mountain or beside the ocean. If you don't have other things to do, I guess you tough it out and rock the label of "True Hokie" proudly......

With that said, college football is turning so incredibly boring. It will always be a good source of background noise while you are eating or ironing clothes, but outside of about four teams, you have a bunch of teams battling for the Diamond Walnut Weed Eater Bowl. In other words, the college football playoff has already been decided. We just have to get through October and November to see the playoff games.

In conclusion, college football will always suck worse when we suck.....and we suck. I mean, we suck worse than anyone under 40 can really even remember.
