Which leads me wondering how much the offensive and defensive staffs
interact when it comes to game planning? Does Bud Foster tell Cornelsen and Fuente how he would scheme against him, and vice versa? Every team, every coach and every player has tape at some point. But tape isn't the end all, be all.
The good news for Tech is we have lots of weapons now. At receiver, there is Turner, Grimsley, Hazelton, Smith, Simmons and Robinson. At TE, there is Mitchell and Keene. We're hurt at RB now with King and McClease seemingly as the only guys. But what of Steward and Wheatley? At QB, maybe there is a book on Willis now. Is that when you add Quincy and/or Hooker to the mix?
This game could go either way this Friday. The Hokies enter as a big question mark after a lackluster win over Furman. But the talent is there. Perhaps we've just been running the new sports car in low gear to get it broken in. Let's show what this team is capable of on Friday.
