I like the various viewpoints of this board, and the articles. I drew line
personally when the consensus became, and I'm paraphrasing..
"We've crossed the point of no return, this staff needs to go."
I respect Will and Chris very much for what they do with this site, and when I saw them starting to adopt this position, along with this board, I pretty much lost it.
I honestly feel, and I think this season will show, that this consensus which it seemed many were starting to join this past week, was too hasty for the Virginia Tech Program.
At this point, I trust Frank Beamer and Bud Foster the most, since they got us where we are as a program.
I would not be hasty in throwing out a coaching staff that they supported, and in Buds case, was included in.
I was shocked how fast the fan-base turned, including this site to some degree, and I felt it was a very dangerous direction for our program (See Tennessee, or many other schools).
I just think to cross over into that range, we, as a fan base, need to be sure, (and by sure, I mean, we need to collect enough data), before we even consider tossing a VT staff approved by Bud Foster and Frank Beamer out the door.
Some schools that are limited in funding, don't recover from that kind of move.
