excuse is no longer used. Talent might be a different story...but that is on the coaches and their recruiting results which has not been up to VT standards lately based on who we seem to be competing with and recent results on the field. Our struggles with lower-tier teams like ODU, Furman, and RI have not afforded significant playing time for the backups which is another problem. BC showed us we were going to be challenged this year. UNC will tell us how much. I am not counting MIA as part of that calculus as you just do not know what MIA team will show up. They shot themselves in the foot and then we let them come back. MIA lost that game more than we won it. The truth is brutal now but at least it is the truth. Still, I really hope we can stomp the Heels. But, will we be out coached like the Duke game? Don't believe in this eating crow stuff. If you picked VT in a closely matched game and we won, unless you have inside information, there is no special talent you can claim other than being lucky. Ok, maybe you can get a sugar cookie. And, nothing wrong with picking VT to lose either. It does NOT mean you are not a VT fan. Rant over.
