What is the interest in seeing us muddle through Furman or ODU? We don't look good. We're not scoring a ton. These games have no bearing on our slim ACC hopes. Students owe the team nothing (and the team owes the students and fans nothing). This is, when it comes down to it, a business transaction.

VT fans got this romanticized idea of ourselves during our team's unprecedented run of success. We are no better (or worse) fans than any other teams'. You could argue that we probably developed a better culture of getting loud (and more importantly knowing when to get loud) than other teams, but we're front-runners, just like the rest of humanity.
