Fan-controlled football is about to become reality (link)
Not sure if this will ever become mainstream, but it's sure as heck an innovative idea. For every fan who thinks they know better than their team's coaches, here's the chance to prove it.
Guessing the NCAA will never allow this in college football, but man, it would be cool to have this in effect at Hokies games. Would've loved it, for example, at the NC State game several years ago when Mario Williams & Company sacked our QB 10+ times. Stiney, seemingly having lapsed into a coma up in the booth, refused to call a screen pass to slow down the Pack's pass rush. Everyone in the stands around me were wondering out loud why we didn't call it (until very late in the game). There's an instance in which the crowd-sourced consensus would have potentially altered the course of a game.
