If you are stopping a persons forward moment, pulling them back is really about the only way. A lot of us played defense and can relate.
The ref has to call the ball dead the second the player is lifted up. Otherwise the offensive player could keep fighting and get loose. I worry that they will keep calling everything so soft and it will take away from the sport
