True, but yardage allowed difference skewed by several factors.....


1. our defense did not show up until miami game.
We let them pickup extra 200 yards in prevent, that could have been avoided.
2. our offense was a hard to watch 3 and out machine for first 4 games, constantly throwing
out defense on the field. Michigans defense has had the support of a solid offense since first game of season.
3. Team totally folded against Duke, prior to coming alive, could have been avoided.
4. North carolina added a bunch more yardage due to 6ots.

Michigan has the more mature defense and better offense to start the season.

By season's end, if we stay reasonable healthy, we are a top caliber defense, although
that fact will be hidden in the stats, due to the gradual developent of the defensive players throughout the season.

In short... I'd take Bud's young wolves at this stage of the season any day, over Michigan.
Let's see if we can stay healthy!
