I am not a fan of Boeheim, but I do think he kinda has a point
The ACC is supposed to be the best DI basketball conference and it is the only power conference to think it is a "good idea" for teams to play a conference game as its first or second game of the regular season. I get that the ACC has expanded its conference schedule to 20 games and I don't have a problem with it. I don't think playing a conference game during the first week of November will have a huge impact on how much money the ACCN generates for the schools. The ACC could have waited until the week before Thanksgiving to start playing conference games and schools would still receive the same amount from the ACCN.
