Since it's effecting us this week - thoughts on Targeting call(s)...
First off, officiating seemed to blow worse than normal last week (they missed calls on both sides though we got the worst of it). As mentioned below, that late hit call was terrible. At the time, I thought that interception made it "game over". I can't decide if I agree with Waller's targeting or not. It's easy to see in slow-mo, but when an offensive man ducks his head in real-time how does a guy readjust in a split second? Across all of college football, I don't agree with about half of those targeting calls because of the offensive dude ducking his head at the last second. I only heard the ND targeting on the radio, but Glaser and Burnop thought for sure that guy was going to get tossed. Agree?
BTW - anyone see at least 3 guys holding VT jerseys on their last TD? Trust me, I knew we weren't going to get that call, but with unbiased refs, that shouldn't have been a TD.
