And there are some parallels. We started with a game that we probably should have won, but shot ourselves in the foot a few times to prevent that. Then after a couple wins, we had a rough showing versus a mediocre opponent (the NCSU final was 17-16... but that was an UGLY game).
That said, I think this is a team that has multiple "GT moments" (the "GT moment" being those last 5 minutes or so in Atlanta where the game flipped from a 20-12 deficit to a 34-20 win).
This is a team, that had a lot of very young talent on it. Many of the biggest names from the year prior are absent. But from many accounts, a lot of the bad attitudes are also absent. Just like in 2004, the young guys have the ability to develop without all the negativity surrounding the program. And with that opportunity, they're excelling and becoming recognized for their talent as they begin to foster (no pun intended) it.
