"Got off the phone with the infamous Water Girl (WG) this morning, who is a very close family friend of 5 years. She and my little sister were freshmen at Tech the year I graduated. This is what she told me.

At some point before halftime, she was returning to the water station to refill bottles when she accidentally squirted water onto Dave Clawson's pant leg near his ankle. Clawson turned around and absolutely flipped out on her, saying he wanted her off the sideline and fired. Some staff had to hold him back as she apologized. Then he made a comment about it on national television, and made a statement alleging she was horsing around and squirting other WF players.

She stayed on the home sideline after halftime. The good thing is, the entire VT staff knows what happened. Fuente met with her to show his support and understanding. Fuente and Kill joked about it.

Basically the whole thing was blown way out of proportion by Clawson. There definitely won't be any punishment as many on Tech Twitter have suggested."
