I was at the game. A few observations.

1. UVa played with a lot of passion that we didn't seem to match for whatever reason. The two teams were otherwise evenly matched talent wise.

2. On Perkins second TD, Floyd in the open field ran under a block in what seemed to be giving himself up and having no interest in making the play on the ball carrier. It was terrible and probably exemplifies why UVa won and we didn't. I don't want to read too much into it, but it was noticeably bad.

3. The Hokie fans were classy after the loss. No sour grapes. Some even congratulatory. One Hokie walked up the aisle with about 1 minute left and shakes very Hoo's hand on his way up to the concourse.

4. Hoo fans didn't rub it in, they were just happy and relieved.

5. A bad day at a college football game is still better than a good day at work. Kinda like fishing.
