As a defensive coordinator he was good. Memphis went from one of the worst


to among the best. He was Mizzou's DC before they promoted him. It was the only time they've had a top ten defense. Maybe he's a Wade Phillips/Norv Turner who excels as a coordinator, but doesn't do as well once he's promoted.
