They won't watch it but it'll be a factor for later
When they sit down in July to slap something together in 1 afternoon, after the big programs get vaguely slotted and they need to fill out the remaining top 25 around them, they'll just take a quick glance down last season's record, number of returning starters, and last game played. If the bowl game is something ridiculous, 30+ margin, that'll stand out. But the first 2 factors are by far more important when you don't want to spend any time doing research and just land somewhere on the fairway of believable.
