The gameplan didnt appear to be an aggressive one. For a bowl, i would have

expected more risks, some trick plays, etc. McClease was the workhorse in some respects, getting a lot of yards, but he didnt have that many carries which makes less sense to me. He was ripping off big runs and there were many times where the UK defense was clearly gassed. Yet we didnt go for the throat.
CJFs game management and clock management need some real evaluation by Babcock and staff. Something isn't right.
Lastly, CJF absolutely has to work the refs. He's got to be part politician, part coach and part a-hole at times but when questionable possession type calls arise, the refs need to know there is a coach on the VT sideline who will be right there pressing the case. Sometimes that little push is just enough to tip the scales when things are teetering. This BS about the ref saying things were already reviewed upstairs just doesn't add up. There's so much "unofficial-ness" to a statement like that, it makes you wonder if that crew had ulterior motives. Regardless, CJF needs to be smarter. Hard, smart and tough should apply to him too
