Especially if I'm an up and comer and looking at head coaching gigs at non-top tier schools. The reason is I'd want the best recruiters and coordinators I could get. I think that would translate to more success, which would elevate my profile and set me up for the next coaching gig at higher profile school that could afford to pay me highly AND pay my assistants highly.

Reasoning is looking directly at Dabo and Clemson. He's been great for them obviously, and a large part of it is he has maintained a great staff around him. The staff is just as important as the head guy. Just look at Beamer and Foster in their glory years. And when the staff isn't as great, look no further than Beamer and the Ocainspring years for how that works out.
