I'm here to eat a small little piece of crow because of my score

"prediction" for Cone on Saturday. Bryce did not play, so Cone was allowed to guard Beverly and whoever his replacement was, for much of the time he was in. So he got 21 mins of PT, which is way more than I predicted because I didn't know Bryce would be out. Even so, he "barely" scored 10, and I say barely because he basically shot a real number instead of 85%.

Anyway, for those that were demanding Cone should start after the Cuse game, I hope you understand that he probably will never be a starter. But obviously he can be a very valuable bench player, supplying a true scoring threat to keep the team going during certain substitution patterns.

Also, this year's Cuse team is about as good of a matchup as he will *ever* get in the ACC. They play zone, which means outside shooters can get lots of opportunities. And they aren't good defensively this year. And they only have one threat to overwhelm the on-ball defender and drive it to the hoop. And Bede or Alleyne can guard that guy while Cone guards Girard or Boeheim.

My point is, don't make more out of a guy than he is, just because he has a career shooting night. The same would go for Radford after last game. He's not going to become our second scoring option all of a sudden is he? No, he took advantage of matchups and defensive lapses on Saturday that he won't get in most games. Same thing for Cone against 'Cuse.
