Nothing against LSU, their qb played an amazing game. But,

Take him out and replace him with just about any other college qb, and have Lawrence not overthrow 15 receivers, and Clemson wins this easily.
Oh, and give them back their TD please, sheesh.

Again, Kudos to LSU, they were able to get a Rising Star QB playing at the highest level,
and they had one receiver who could take advantage of that.

Otherwise, LSU was about the same as any of the top 10 teams.

Not sure why people think VT can't get there. What it takes is great leadship and coaching, that is willing to stick around and win championships.

If we have that, we have a solid chance.

We beat Kentucky, and put more points on them then other SEC schools.
We nearly beat the Domers with no Starting QB. Same team that beat Iowa State 33-9.
Same Iowa State that lost 42-41 to Oklahoma.

And get this, we barely had a pass rush this season, and a brand new QB.

We are building into a real solid team, that will bear fruit over the next 2 seasons.

If things come together ideally next season, we could easily be looking at a win over Penn State, and sitting 12-0 going into ACC championship with a top 10 ranking.

If Lawrence has a bad game, we are in the dance, and I would be willing to bet many would be rooting for us to take out Clemson, just because they have been in tournament one too many times.

A season like that would take great coaching, which I think we are making strides, great kids that buy into system, which I think we have, some Junior / Senior leadership, which I think we will have starting next season, and a balanced Offense and solid defense, which I also think we will have.

The rest of it is luck with injuries, and how the football rolls.

I keep hearing players talking about something special brewing in Blacksburg, and I think the fans will be surprised this next season!

Go Hokies!!
