Jim had it right in his early years at VT. Fully fund football makes it successful for all sports program . Granted, latter years Didn’t work well for him because of change in Tech leadership philosophy and his health issues.
Bottom line, big investment in Tech football got us financially stable , great Financial reserves and entrance into the ACC.
Not seeing it with the current Administration causing constant coaching and staff changes and chaos
