Whether or not you support Fuente, there are plenty of fans who didn’t see his actions as positive and that definitely will hurt his support. He and the admin could have at least settled the situation afterward as was pointed out.

His actions go directly against what I believe in as a VT alum- it’s the complete opposite of #utprosim and that’s what gets me the most. Anyone can argue the merits of his potential ability and how any coach can go interview, but how much does a raise matter when you were just entrusted to completely uproot the old system and install your own, and dallying a day after you just brought new coaches to YOUR program? Who does that?

It doesn’t reflect the qualities I expect of a leader, whether he came back or not. For many VT fans and alum he remains HC*. His actions suited no one but himself.
