This isn't a statement about today's game vs. BC. Just an observation over the years of watching hoops. I know it's an awful analogy because I have no personal experience and it was a really awful part of our history. But they have a lot of power and many of them love to wield it. The stupid dancing around they do for the camera (like a WWF era reaction to "and one" or a charge) is unprofessional and gross. They are not entertainers but I think some of them think they are. But when they stick it to a guy and just dare him to respond for fear of T, it boils my blood. The players are powerless when a ref with an ego wants to take over a game. I know Jeff Allen brought a lot of attention on himself, including bumping a ref, but man did he get a raw deal. I'm surprised they didn't call him "boy" at some point.
