are well positioned to come in at (or maybe even slightly above) 500. This would be a huge accomplishment given he was a career 500 coach at Wofford. Granted, it's a down year in the ACC (even UVA has taken a major dip in talent/experience), but with this year's results, I see no reason why we can't hang around 500 for years to come as our talent increases, maybe even having a chance to reach the tourney if everything comes together (e.g. experienced senior laden team). Whit was looking to preserve some money with this hire and take a step back in terms of priority for Men's basketball (I'm assuming to allocate more $ to football-it is certainly needed), so all things considered, I think we got a real bargain and things are going better than planned!
