I slept like a baby after that game. I feel so optimistic about the future.

The first half was a horrible result on Offense, but shots were there and generally the offense worked. The Defense was good except for two 2-minute sessions where we got disorganized. To me the biggest first half difference that needs attention was that they did a better job on their pick and roll than we did.

The second half was probably our best offensive performance in a half all year. The shots started falling which helped, but we had so much more movement and attacked early in the shot clock a few times - usually with good results. The Defense was generally solid too.

I think we also saw that the C-Squared backcourt combo was overall effective. Cattoor and Cone looked good together - probably as good as we’ve seen from any combo recently. Those five who played the last 8 minutes or so looked cohesive and aggressive together.

We saw changes from Coach, too. He clearly got the team’s attention at halftime and they came out loose and energized. He continued attacking on offense although we took a few bad late shots, and he called a timeout late to setup a strong, successful play.

Hate losing, especially to UVA but this one did not hurt that much for me due to all of the positives.
