Agreed as well. Many here had preached patience before the season, but...

the early results of fool's gold (MSU, ACC start) when Nolley was playing out of his mind got some ahead of where things realistically should and were going to be.

When that level wasn't sustained once the wall was hit, it has brought out the naysayers lamenting a perceived mediocrity at best and projecting a level that VT can't supposedly reach.

The development, improvement, and experience of our young players is what I was looking for, and on the whole, I haven't been disappointed.

Patience, indeed as we've got the right person guiding the ship.

As another program example for VT fans, look at Pitt and their timetable.

Last year as a 1st year coach, Jeff Capel recruits a great class with 3 frosh that showed great early potential. In year 2, he then adds on the bubbly of a FR Champagnie who arguably should have been first team on the ACC FR team. Anyone catch his 31 points yesterday?

And where do they end up? 14th in the regular season standings (including GT, not in the tourney).

Anyone think they won't improve or that Jeff Capel isn't building something that won't start challenging in the future? It doesn't all just happen in year 2 as they know very well.
