I don't understand the claim that we are past the peak. I have watched the JH site for three weeks now. Aside from an occasional move back a hundreth of a percent, the US death rate has climbed steadily and is still climbing. Three weeks ago it was 1.2 to 1.3. Since yesterday it went from 4.3 to 4.9. I don't buy the "those numbers are wrong because we haven't tested enough people" excuse. Over three weeks, we have tested a lot more people. And the fatality rate has continued to increase at about the same rate ...just a little each day. I think this press conference is politics. See if the fatality rate is 5.0 tomorrow.
