Contagion: The infection factor is R0 2.5 vs 1.3, meaning Covid-19 is nearly TWICE as infectious. Plus the incubation time is up to 14 days vs up to 4 days, so a person could be a carrier and spread it for up to 10 days longer than flu before they even knew they had it.

Morbidity: The hospitalization rate is 19% vs. 2% for flu.

Fatality: The fatality rate is up to 3.4% vs. 0.1% for flu.

AND to make it even worse, there is no vaccine for Covid-19 now or on the near horizon AND indications are that acquired immunity is not as prevalent as it is for flu.
