With that kind of backdrop, aggressive expectations for consistent performance would be 9 to 10 win seasons, regular appearances in the ACC championship game (with an occasional win) and an occasional top 10 appearance. The expectations from some of our delusional fans, is that with these modest means, we should be making regular runs at the national championship. There is NO coach out there today that we can afford who could make that a reality. NOT ONE. And if by some miracle, we got one of those, he would be gone in a couple of years to one of the powerhouses who could pay him top dollar.
